Any "inappropriate" or "saucy" conversations out in Field Service car groups???
by Gojira_101 ini thought of one that happened to me, i think i was 16 and regular pioneering at the time.
i was in fs with my friend, i think she had to be about 18, and we were in a van with older married sisters, my friend and i were the only single ones.
there were 6 of us in this van and my friend and i of course were forced to sit in the back (meaning we couldn't escape by jumping out of a moving van), anyway, the conversation turned to discussing molestation.. the two oldest sisters sitting in the front then started going into detail about how they had been molested, and it wasn't just "i was molested by..." no they went into detail.. i was shocked!

This brings up an interesting theological question........do the angels stay with the field service group during these "juicy" discussions, or do they excuse themselves until the conversations get more "theocratic". Maybe they just stick their fingers in their ears and say, "la,la,la,la,la". Only in the wacky JW world do these possibilites exist.

Elders! Elders everywhere!
by Julia Orwell inan elder came around this morning at 9am to ask if my husband wanted to come with him on a bible study.
my husband nipped from the bathroom to the bedroom in his undies to get dressed, while i talked to the elder!
the elder talked about how he just happened to think my husband might be free this morning, and just happened to get a call from someone wanting a bible study, and then he said to me, "why don't you come visit my house some time?

post about our friends that were victims of a 'witch hunt', they came out here a month later and asked what we had told the elders, because the elders told them that we had said some things about their daughter. TOTAL LIE! We had never met their daughter, seen their daughter, or even knew what, if anything, she was even doing. So the dad went back and confronted that elder.
There was an 11 yr old thread that was bumped today, where another elder lied and told someone that another person admitted they were involved in apostate discussions. The truth was the other person said no such thing, but the elder used JW theocratic warfare reasoning to lie about it, to try to "smoke out" a confession. These modern day JW "apostate hunts" are sounding more and more like medieval inquisitions.

Memorial Invites from Door to Door?
by NeonMadman inis this the first year that the jws have been out aggressively handing out memorial invitations from door to door?
i've been out for about 12 years now, but as i recall, congregations used to receive a relatively limited number of memorial invitations, and they were pretty much reserved for bible studies, good rvs, inactive persons, and others who had some sort of connection to the organization.
they were not just randomly handed out from house to house - that was what the "special talk" invitations were for.. it occurs to me that this might be an attempt by the wts to pump up the memorial attendance so as to maintain the illusion of continued growth.

Think About It
You would think the JW's would be embarrassed to have worldly people come to their Memorial celebration without "being conditioned" first, as to why the JW Lord's Evening Meal celebration is so different.

Circuit Oversears treated like gods...did this happen in your Hall!!!

I was still an elder, and by now had had enough of the JW religion bullshit. My last discussion with a CO ended up with him telling me that I can't talk to him like I was, because he was the CO. This guy had no problem accepting my resignation.

"You and your wife, get the f&ck out of our house."
So funny. LOL
I would love to hear what the CO and his wife were doing during lunch that made you finally say this to them.

Outsourcing of printing?
by Lynnie ini heard through the grapevine this weekend that my second cousin and her husband made a trip to india to investigate possible outsourcing of printed docs for the wtbts.
he is a uber bethelite in the purchasing dept and my cousin is a good bethelite wife.
they were living in brooklyn but have been moved up to wallkill in the last few months.

This is probably the wave of the future with the cult. As we well know, it is nothing more than a religious publishing cult disguised as a Christian religion. The business corporation CEO's (Governing Body) will move to cut overhead in order to maximize profits. They will reason why have Bethelites around to feed & shelter, when we can outsource the printing cheaper? The WTS will transition the JW "free labor" pool into something with much more profit potential like the building & selling of real estate projects. In the future, I can see the cult getting into businesses that sell products where the JW membership would be coerced into buying from the company store.

As the old saying goes.....curiosity killed the cat.
More and more JW's will become curious of doing internet research about their religion. Many will wake up as a result. Watchtower bad, Internet good.

Normal people would think this is crazy, but it is not uncommon in the wacky JW world. You and your family are definately on the elders radar. I don't know what your personal JW situation is, but something is up. There is no honorable way to just leave the JW's. Just continue to evade them, and say NO to any offers of contact. Over time they will cool off in their stalking & harrassing of your family. Keep in mind that they only have 1 of 2 goals. Either to bring you back into the cult, or kick you out with the shunning consequences. Good luck trying to successfully fade.
